In collaboration with Vickie Biggs (of Ditto, London), the best new and classic books and magazines from the genre are chosen for the shop, and we get slinky and celebrate with sparkling wine.

The second edition of Dark Summer is sponsored by ARCANE Gallery and QUIET Studio. The first purchases on the night will come with a complimentary Ghost Tape choker . What more could one desire?

Dark Summer takes its name from Bob Carlos Clarke’s third book, published in 1985. Carlos Clarke was an Irish-born, London-based photographer who graduated from the Royal College of Art in 1975. Renowned for his erotic photographs as well as celebrity portraits and images for advertising, he knew Claire de Rouen well, and was crucial to the establishment of her bookshop in 2005 (above a sex shop, appropriately).
